OPERATIONS AND QUALITY MEETING 2020 | THE STRATEGY OF TRANSFORMATION

"Month after month, we have confirmation that we are moving in the right direction."

Another Operations and Quality Meeting of the OralMED Health Group took place this Wednesday, October 14th.

This year, the Operations managers of OralMED Dental Medicine clinics gathered at Torres de Lisboa, the headquarters of the OralMED Health Group, not only to review the past few months but also to outline strategies for the future.

"The outcome of this meeting couldn't be more positive. Month after month, we have confirmation that we are moving in the right direction. We have been able to combat adversity, thanks to everyone's dedication. We are thinking about transformation from a strategic point of view, anticipating needs and adapting our processes. And we have been reaping the fruits of this approach," Ricardo Serra, National Director of Operations of the Portuguese group, began by explaining.

In 2020, the world was plunged into a pandemic that shook the paradigm of the reality we lived in. It brought a series of impacts to business activities in all corners of the planet. In Portugal, the scenario was no different.

One of the sectors most affected by this pandemic was Dental Medicine. In March of this year, all activity in the sector was suspended by order of the DGS (Directorate-General of Health), with clinics only able to operate in emergency cases. It wasn't until May that Dental Medicine offices were authorized to resume their consultations in a more normalized service regime, but still heavily conditioned by the restrictions that the context imposed.

Since the beginning of the new coronavirus pandemic, the OralMED Health Group has done everything to safeguard its Patients and employees, continuing to comply with all DGS recommendations.

"In this new reality, which affects us all, we feel that our teams have been able to overcome even the unimaginable scenarios that this pandemic has brought us. We have always been the group that Smiles at Life. But today, I can say that OralMED is even more supportive, more united," concluded Ricardo Serra.
