OralMED Health Group now celebrates over a decade of specialization
The Mission of the OralMED HEALTH Group has now reached 11 years. More than a decade of raising awareness about the importance of Oral Health.
Few business projects have experienced such steep growth in the span of 11 years. This growth has been realized thanks to the Vision of three Portuguese individuals who believed it was possible to bring contemporary Dental Medicine care to all people, regardless of their economic context. It was with this sense of Mission that Nuno Ferreira, Eduardo Pinto, and Mário Leal founded the OralMED HEALTH Group in 2009. Since then, the Portuguese group's motto has been very clear, guiding all operations of the now more than 50 OralMED Dental Medicine clinics and support areas:

"Our purpose has always been to democratize access to Oral Health. When we talk about Dental Medicine, we're not talking about material goods: we're talking about Health. We're talking about treatments that drastically improve people's lives. And these must be within everyone's reach. If Dental Medicine evolves, as it has, especially in the last two decades, and continues to be seen as a luxury accessible to few, what good is that evolution?" explained Eduardo Pinto, administrator of the OralMED Health Group.
Resilience in the face of adversity
With the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the most affected sectors has been Dental Medicine. In March of this year, all activity in the sector was suspended by order of the DGS (Directorate-General of Health), with clinics only able to act in emergency cases. It wasn't until May that Dental Medicine offices were authorized to resume their consultations in a more normalized service regime, but still heavily conditioned by the restrictions imposed by the context.
Although the current context is not encouraging, the Portuguese group still has reasons to celebrate.
Despite the adversities, the OralMED Health Group did everything to safeguard its Patients and employees. They also adapted work processes in an agile manner and managed to respond very positively to the limitations imposed by the context.

With over 10 years of experience in the sector, it already has more than 50 of its own clinical units, three dedicated laboratories, and a contact center, the first specialized in the Health area in Portugal.
